Trade history
In the early day's in the Netherlands there was a large, what they called the golden age. That time was that way because Netherlands earned a lot of trading.
The VOC was an important trading party (Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie).
Why was the Dutch East India Company so important? The VOC was very important, because they had a great trade views. There was also a WIC that was the (Dutch West India Company) who acted in weapons, gunpowder, slaves, and other goods. The WIC worked with the triangle trade that goes like this: the WIC went with weapons, gunpowder, iron and textiles to West Africa. There they exchanged for slaves and gold. Then carry slaves to North America and they exchanged the slaves in there for commodities such as sugar, rum, coffee, cotton, silver and tobacco. That was the Triangle trade.
